Anna grew up playing every sport she could including field hockey, rowing, touch rugby, cross country running and triathlon as well as getting outdoors on overnight hikes, camping and adventure racing. Anna went on to study Physical Education at Otago University which covered everything from personal training, coaching, teaching, sports science including biomechanics, anatomy, sports psycology and nutrition, she then went to Europe to take on the mountain and trail running world.
13 years later Anna has raced all over the world in every distance and terrain possible. She has had many successful races from stage races, vertical kilometres and all distances up to 100miles. She has had her ups and downs, injury, fatigue, wins, DNF’s and from all of this she has grown into a better athlete, a more rounded, complete and efficient runner and person. She has concentrated on balanced living, hormone control, nutrition, lifestyle, relationships and compassion.
A passion for Anna is to share her experience, her knowledge and passion for the trail world with you. And so her journey into coaching begins! She has her own style of personal awareness and learning to read your own body as something she has found works better than science for her. But she understands and loves science and will work with you to find your best motivation, direction and goals in which ever way suits you better.
Anna is happy to work with people of all levels and all ages, as long as you are up for the challenge, she is keen to meet you half way!
